The Oyster Cove Inn was originally the summer residence of one of Tasmania's richest men of the 19th Century, Alfred Cotton, who commenced the development in the 1890's.

The residence was converted into a guest house in the 1930's and further developed into a hotel in the 1950's.

The Hotel became one of Southern Tasmania's most successful holiday and restuarant venue's.

It still remains the only significant Hotel accomodation south of Hobart, with 14 bedrooms along with dining room facilities and an outdoor deck all with magnificent views across a 250 berth marina to Oyster Cove and Bruny Island.

We are now entering a 21st Century development phase.
